The development sits just off Easter Road to the east of Edinburgh city centre and includes the upgrading and re-design of an existing public park to create a new public space for local residents and students alike. The accommodation includes a number of cluster bedrooms with shared kitchens, studios and accessible rooms for students. A number of 'premium' studio rooms enjoy dramatic south-facing views towards Arthur's Seat and generous internal spaces.
The massing of the building follows the local townscape and represents a reinterpretation of the neighbouring traditional Edinburgh tenements. The building envelope is provided with insulation achieving 15% over the Building Control requirements. This has assisted with SBEM calculations and provided a highly energy efficient building.
